I am a researcher based in the Netherlands, originally trained as a cell biologist (with a bit of philosophy sprinkled on top) and behavioral neuroscientist. My doctoral research was an effort to understand the neural processing of statistically defined sounds (supervised by Bernhard Englitz). Previously I have performed human and animal experiments on topics like perceptual decision-making and numerical cognition. Currently, I work for a start-up developing computational tools for personalized medicine. In my free time, I translate an introductory biology textbook for bachelor’s students and sit on the board (and behind the computers) of the newly established Azerbaijan Neuroscience Society. From time to time, you can also see me teaching neuroscience and research methodology.
I am not a huge fan of cloudalists (feudal lords of the internet era) and try to use their products as little as possible. So if you want to reach me, please do so through email.
